Effect of cesium nitrate and formiate additives on the properties of CO Conversion Cu-Zn-Al catalysts

Popis: | The effect of cesium nitrate and formiate additives on the activity, crystalline structure, and specific surface area of the active copper component in coprecipitated Cu-Zn-Al catalyst for low-temperature CO conversion is studied. It is found that 1% Cs in the form of nitrate or formiate reduces catalyst activity in the side reaction of methanol synthesis by a factor of 2.5–3. The effect of cesium formiate on the crystalline structure and phase composition is less pronounced than that of nitrate. Introducing Cs into a carbonate mass is more advantageous than adding it to an oxide mass after calcination, since this leads to a greater decrease in the yield of methanol and a smaller change in the crystalline structure and phase composition of the catalyst. |
