| Popis: | Retrocorneal membranes can be composed from one layer only -- endothelium, or two layers: endothelium and Descemet, or three layers: endothelium, Descemet membrane and corneal stroma. Besides those corneal membranes which may occur after keratoplasty there are also other forms of inflammatory, degenerative, traumatic or genetic origin. Because diminished corneal transparency often occurs in those cases the precise diagnosis may be difficult on clinical investigation, often only after histological examination the membrane structure may be established. |
