The extensive product portfolio of Nordzucker includes the production of sugar and liquid sugar, as well as all imaginable types of sugar products, such as refined, powdered, cube and canning sugars, and also flavoured types of sugar. As well as five beet processing factories in Germany, the company also has plants in Denmark, Finland, Lithuania, Poland, Sweden and Slovakia. Opalenica and Chelma, the two locations in Poland, produce solely loose, crystal white sugar in 1 kg packs, 50 kg sacks and Big-Bags. As the packaging plants in these both locations were out-dated, an extensive modernization project was implemented. The weighing technology is absolutely essential in the filling and packaging stations. Fast but very accurate weighing is required there in order to be able to ensure an optimal production flow. |
