Popis: | Introduction. The article draws attention to the historically existing problem of social inequality. It is noted that the development of a technogenic society objectively requires a moral dominant in solving the issue under study. The purpose of the article is to substantiate, within the framework of the axiological approach, the connection between terminal values and social inequality, in particular at the regional level. Materials and Methods. The theories of functionalism, conflict, the reputation of leading researchers of the problem of social inequality are the theoretical and methodological basis, as well as the theory of values by the American axiologist M. Rokeach. Statistical-documentary method and social survey data are used as a toolkit. Results. The article argues that the application of the analyzed approach is an effective way to level social inequality. The main factors of inequalities (health, education, well-being) associated directly with human capital are highlighted. Analysis of the processes of social inequality using the example of the Republic of Mordovia when considering the evolution of four vital areas (income, health, employment, and education) depending on gender and age and territory made it possible to reveal the confusion of legitimate and illegitimate grounds for inequality. Discussion and Conclusion. The analysis of social and territorial inequality made it possible to present a multidimensional model that includes certain innovations at the methodological level, providing a choice of indicators that clarify social realities, in particular in the Republic of Mordovia, in four areas (health, income, employment and education). |
