Popis: | Photolysis of PhCOCH 2 HgCl or (PhCOCH 2 ) 2 Hg yields benzoylmethyl radicals which can be trapped by anions such as Me 2 C=NO 2 − , RC(CO 2 Et) 2 − , RC(O − )=CH 2 or by other electron-rich systems such as (RO) 3 P, N-methylpyrrole, enamines, or norbornene. Electron transfer from the adduct radicals to the mercurial yields PhCOCH 2 A from the anions A − , PhCOCH 2 P(O)(OR) 2 from P(OR) 3 , and the phenacyl derivative from N-methylpyrrole or enamines |
