Popis: | EEG traces recorded in the state of calm waking from boys aged 5–7 years with autism spectrum disorders showed lower values of coherence in the δ, θ, and α ranges and higher values in the β and γ ranges as compared with healthy subjects. On performance of a cognitive task (counting), healthy children showed the greatest increases in coherence in the β and γ ranges, while changes in these ranges were minor in children with autism spectrum disorders. Children with autism spectrum disorders responded to performance of the cognitive task with significant changes in coherence in the δ range, with differently directed changes in the θ band. |
