Popis: | One hundred seventeen patients visiting the colposcopic clinic were tested for the occurence of Chlamydia trachomatis infection. Twenty-one had cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN) at stages I–III. The tests were performed simultaneously by direct enzymatic immunoassay (ELISA) and immunoglobulins A and G. A prevalence of 24% was found in patients who came for random examination, 38% in CIN patients, and 48% in previously cured patients. Of the 7 ELISA-positive CIN patients, 5 were IgA positive and 4 were IgG positive. Of 23 ELISA-positive random examination patients, 17 were IgA positive and 14 were IgG positive. We recommend performing Chlamydia enzyme immunoassay together with IgA and IgG tests. |
