Popis:	We report the synthesis and X-ray analysis of a compound of C[sub 60] with atomic iodine. A crystal structure with C[sub 60]I[sub 2] stoichiometry for this compound is proposed. The time evolution over 3 months is also investigated, showing the relaxation of the compound into its initial fee structure. Superconductivity was not observed down to 4.2 K. 12 refs., 3 figs.
