Popis: The incubation period of severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) ranges from 2 to 10 days. The clinical features and key laboratory parameters on presentation are summarised in Tables 1 and 2. The majority of patients with SARS present with abrupt onset of high fever of more than 38°C with or without chills. Flu-like symptoms of malaise, myalgia, headache and dizziness are rather common. While the respiratory system is predominantly affected, other organs are also involved.
