This paper presents the procedure carried out to establish the requirements of electrical and mechanical power for an international railway service, developed between the cities of Posadas, Argentina and Encarnacion, Paraguay. The main objective is to propose a technical specification for a project in order to implement electrification of this railway, so the service can be achieved by using electric trains. Simulation results of the power requirements necessary for the operation of the electric train are presented. |
