| Popis: | We report on a 63-year-old patient, who was admitted for evaluation of abdominal pain, weight loss and fever for four weeks. CRP and leucocytes were strongly elevated. Sonography showed a -tumor near the head of the pancreas. Finally -endoscopy demonstrated a toothpick, which had perforated through the duodenal wall below the papilla of Vater. The toothpick was removed by duodenoscopic intervention.Antibiotic therapy was initiated. Consecutively, CRP and leucocytes normalized and the inflammatory pseudotumor disappeared completely within two weeks. |
