Second law treatment of magnetized ferro-nanofluid through a porous tank with wavy inner surface

Popis: | Second law analysis of magnetic nanofluid flow through a permeable tank with wavy inner surface is scrutinized in this work. Mathematical formulation is based on the basic formulas of thermodynamics and fluid dynamics theories. The developed equations are re-structured by the involvement of new variables. CVFEM is utilized to display the exergy loss and entropy generation for various Hartmann (Ha), Rayleigh (Ra), and Darcy (Da) numbers. Results revealed that the Bejan number increases with an enhancement of Ra and Da. Exergy loss rises through the augmented magnetic force. Entropy generation due to porous media reduces for higher Da. Suppression influence on the transportation of ferrofluid is observed by the imposing magnetic force but reverse trend is reported for permeability parameter. The impact of Ha makes the convective mode weaker and increases the exergy loss. |
