Popis: | It has been established that around 20 % of patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) have clinical symptoms of the functional gastric dyspepsia, and 20 — 30 % of patients with predominantly non-erosive reflux disease and/or extra-esophageal GERD manifestations, have a poor response to the therapy with proton pump inhibitors. Such effects are considered to be associated with the disorders of the esophageal and gastric motility, thus giving the substantiation for the use of prokinetics in the treatment of comorbid pathology of esophagus and stomach. Two clinical cases have been presented regarding the effective use of domperidone (Motilium®) for the treatment of nonerosive and erosive GERD forms in combination with the functional dyspepsia, illustrated with the results of 24-hours esophago-рН-monitoring. |
