| Popis: | The reactivity of a series of monomer and dimer complexes of platinum(II) towards cleavage of the silicon—carbon bond of alkyl- and aryl-silanes has been studied. The only active complexes are those of the type [Pt2Cl4(olefin)2]. An explanation is proposed, based on the nature of the reactive entity. |
