| Popis: | This article examines the emergence of female Arab writers in the 19th century, in historical context. With a focus on the lives and works of some well- known examples of the genre, the article will deal with the question of the dynamics that led to the emergence of female authorship in Arabic literature, particularly those related to the modernisation of the life spheres of Arabic women in that period. |
