Popis: | Until recently prostaglandin (PG) synthesis in the intestine under the influence of cholera and other toxins has been studied only with respect to PG of types E and F. It has recently been found that different types of PG (PGI2, PGD2, TXA2-thromboxane, and other biologically active metabolites of arachidonic acid), found previously in other tissues [4], are normally synthesized in the intestine. |
