| Popis: | The theoretical literature on the transmission channels of monetary policy highlights mechanisms that undoubtedly assume that the financial context on which the central bank acts is developed. However, the low level of financial development of the majority of developing countries limits the transmission of monetary policy to the real economy and therefore renders the channels described by the existing literature ineffective. To date, scientific work having studied monetary transmission for the case of developing countries has been limited to the empirical evaluation of the effectiveness of existing channels and no contribution has tried to propose new theoretical channels describing transmission mechanisms in the context of developing countries. This article therefore proposes a first attempt to theorize the transmission channels resulting from the instruments of monetary policy in the context of a developing country. The contribution is based on the monetary policy instruments, the financial context and the transmission mechanisms in Morocco as a developing country, before and after liberalization.
