Popis: | Hypoganglionosis is a rare form of intestinal neuronal malformation, which is characterized by reduced number and size of ganglion cells of parasympathetic nerves in the intestinal wall. Pathophysiology is not well known, however intestinal ischemia, inflammation, autoimmune process or neurotoxin may play a role. Here, we report the case of a 56-year-old man with colonic pseudoobstruction and ulcerations in marked dilatedcolon above transitional zone who was later diagnosed with colonic hypoganglionosis. |
