Popis: | The anti-oestrogen tamoxifen increases the survival of breast cancer patients by 20% over a 6-year period (Nolvadex adjuvant trial organization, 1985). Although tamoxifen is thought to act via oestrogen receptors, some patients with oestrogen-receptor-negative mammary carcinomas have also responded, indicating that other mechanisms may be involved. |
