Popis: | This paper reports the composition and properties of a new family of thermoplastics based on poly(hydroxyamino ether). The first commercial grades have been designed for applications in the adhesive and barrier resin markets. These polymers offer a unique set of properties, including excellent adhesion to a variety of substrates, high resistance to gas permeation, superior clarity, and good mechanical strength and toughness. In addition, they are amorphous and can be easily processed using conventional thermoplastic processing techniques. Some commercial applications of poly(hydroxyamino ether) resins include barrier packaging, starch based foam packaging, and powder coatings. |
