Popis: The IMT-2020 networks, or the so-called 5G networks by industry, are the next technological evolution of mobile communications. These networks based on the 3GPP specifications over the Release 16 will be effective implemented on millimeter wave spectrum above 24.25 GHz. The candidate spectrum as defined by ITU-R are the frequencies bands ranging from 24.25 GHz to 66 GHz. Studies were made in order to define the portion of spectrum to be identified on the WRC-19. Although the 28 GHz band is not part of the WRC-19, actually this spectrum is identified for mobile applications in the ITU-R Radio Regulations. This paper presents the sharing studies with existing services in the 28 GHz band in adjacent channel and co-channel scenarios. These services have been used globally by satellite industry with products and services in the so-called Ka Band for the Earth-Space communications, known as the Fixed Satellite Service (FSS). Simulations were made with the SHARC (Simulator for Sharing and Compatibility Studies) software developed by Anatel and academy with the implementation of Rec. ITU M.2101, with essential parameters of the IMT-2020 technology. For the satellite networks, scenarios with Geostationary Satellite Orbit (GSO) and non-GSO (NGSO) parameters were also considered.
