Characteristics and synthesis of Cu–Ni ferrite nanopowders by coprecipitation method with ultrasound irradiation

Popis: The Cu–Ni ferrite (Cu 1− x Ni x Fe 2 O 4 ) nanopowders were prepared using coprecipitation method with ultrasound irradiation. The Cu 1− x Ni x Fe 2 O 4 nanopowders were composed of a pure spinel phase with the grain size of 20–30 nm. The saturation magnetization of the ferrite powders were 53.1 emu/g at x =0, 73.5 emu/g at x =0.5 and 34.3 emu/g at x =1. The nanopowders showed that the reflection loss was more than –10 dB in the range from 2.5 to 5.5 GHz. The matching frequency and matching thickness of the ferrite powders had varied sensitively on the composition of x (Ni content).
