Popis: | Ventilation systems implemented in buildings form the configuration of impinging jets where the airflow impacts obstacles with different slots. The bad choice of initial conditions such as confinement may cause acoustic incompatibility. Hence, to control these noises in buildings, a 3D experimental study of the impinging jet should be performed to develop its structural characteristics. For this reason, Time Resolved Particle Image Velocimetry (TR-PIV) experiments were carried out on an impinging jet on a slotted plate. Data were acquired on a series of twenty-two parallel planes orthogonal to the slot of the plate, for a Reynolds number of 4458 and a sampling frequency of 5 kHz. The 3D analysis of the flow is carried out in the present paper by discussing the kinematic field of planes in the central and intermediate part of the jet without considering the planes at the edge of the slot. The normalized field of the mean velocity and the turbulence rate of all these planes were presented. The results have shown for a Reynolds number Re = 4458 and a confinement of L/H=4 the flow is two dimensional where the averaged kinematic fields are the same from the midplane P0 until plane P60. |
