This chapter discusses networks with two polarized relays. Any polynomial is congruent, with respect to the double modulus (3, x 2 + 1), to a polynomial a ′ x + a ′′; a ′, a ′′ taking on the values 0, 1, or 2. The chapter discusses constructing a network with two three-position push-buttons A and B under the following conditions: (1) if A and β are simultaneously switched to position I or if one of them—but not both—is in position II, the motor runs in one direction; (2) if A and β are simultaneously switched to position II, or one of them—but not both—is in position I, the motor runs in the opposite direction; and (3) in all other cases, the motor does not run. |
