Popis: RF receiver or simply receiver is an electronic device or circuit which basically converts the received radio waves into a useful information. Radio receivers are broadly used in the areas of modern technology such as wireless modems, televisions. remote control, cell phones, wireless networking systems and other components of communications. The RF Receiver block contains a Low noise amplifier (LNA), Phase Locked Loops (PLL), and band pass filter (BPF). The main aim of this study is to provide a summary of the research, that has been conducted on design and implementation of RF receiver components. Although there are several ways to implement the RF receiver, this paper mainly concentrates on the implementation of the RF receiver using VLSI design methodology. Different parameters like technology, power dissipation, power gain, noise figure and return loss were considered in the review process. This review article serves the purpose of presenting results and techniques used in designing LNA, PLL and BPF in RF receiver for wireless applications.
