Popis: | Pyridine-2-aldehydesalicylaldazine (Hpas) reacts with metal salts to yield complexes M(pas)2 [M = OV(IV), Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II)]. The complexes have been characterized by elemental analyses, TGA and DTA, magnetic susceptibility, electronic, ESR and IR spectral studies. A square pyramidal geometry for VO(pas)2 and an octahedral stereochemistry for the remaining complexes are proposed. X-ray powder diffraction characterizes Ni(II), Co(II) and Zn(II) complexes to have tetragonal unit lattices. |
