Control Analysis and Stability for Static VAR Generator

Popis: Usually SVG plays a role of reactive power-source in the power distribution and transmission systems. As the control of SVG is dependent of system parameters and control parameters, the dynamic performance and stability becomes a very important research field for SVG control. According to the simple power system topology, the relationship of control characteristic among equivalent load, system transmission impedance, damping inductance, adjustable reactive power of SVG, control angle δ, and the DC-link voltage of inverter has been analyzed in this paper. Especially stabilization of SVG and the accepted parameter-range of control parameters under stabilization condition have been descript in detail also. The processing method used for SVG stabilization discussed in this paper would be applied to any configuration of SVG Through complex calculation, real simulation, and by the selected control parameters in the descript range, some good results are obtained.
