Popis:	Cell-cell adhesion is believed to be an integral event in the development of effective immunological responses. A family of molecules has been described which mediate leukocyte cell-cell and cell-substrate adhesions and are necessary for cell migration through endothelium. This family has been designated the lymphocyte function-associated antigen-1 (LFA-1)1 family or the CD18 complex of adhesion molecules (1–10).
