Simulating anodic dissolution at the vertex of a crack growing in steps

Popis: When electrodes are placed in a form equivalent to the disposition of the anodic and cathodic surfaces at a crack vertex, the current from the pair is about three times less than with an arbitrary disposition. The charge transferred between the pair is increased by about a factor four by raising the temperature of synthetic reactor water from 293 to 353 K.
