Popis:	Minisatellite-like DNA elements occur in the Arabidopsis thaliana genome in low copy and are weakly polymorphic between ecotypes. YAC clones from the EG-Arabidopsis library were identified with homology to minisatellite 33.15 and bacteriophage M13 repeat elements. Other highly repeated A. thaliana DNA elements tend not to be found in YAC clones carrying the minisatellite elements suggesting that the elements are dispersed in the Arabidopsis genome in regions of low complexity. The minisatellite elements are represented at low copy in the EG-YAC library reflecting their frequency in the Arabidopsis genome
