Psychiatric disorders such as ADHD, ASD, BP, MDD, and SCZ have been linked to a spectrum of social difficulties. These are thought to lie at the extreme end of a behavioural continuum that is shared with social traits in the general population. Social behaviour in typically developing children is, however, complex involving different behavioural traits that can change across development, and be specific to different social environments. Here, we investigate whether polygenic risk for psychiatric disorder is differentially associated with a spectrum of social traits in the general population. |
