Popis:	A thin lens analogy between holographic optical elements, including transmission, reflection, flat, and curved holographic optical elements, and conventional optical elements is discussed. Examples show that a thin lens model of a holographic optical element can be used with a conventional optical design program such as ACCOS V for designing holographic optical elements.
