Popis: | The stability of the ferromagnetic-insulating (FI) phase occurring at $Tl{T}_{\mathrm{FI}}$ is studied in a series of ${\mathrm{La}}_{1\ensuremath{-}x}{\mathrm{Sr}}_{x}{\mathrm{MnO}}_{3}$ $(0.1l~xl~0.14)$ single crystals as function of temperature (T), pressure (P), and magnetic field (H). It is found that for all samples, the low-temperature ferromagnetic and insulating phase is stabilized under pressure and field, i.e., ${\mathrm{dT}}_{\mathrm{FI}}/dPg0$ and ${\mathrm{dT}}_{\mathrm{FI}}/dHg0.$ Remarkably enough, these derivatives have very similar values irrespective of the hole concentration. This observation is consistent with the existence of superexchange-type ferromagnetic interactions. On the other hand, it is also shown that typical signatures of the first-order transition occurring at ${T}_{\mathrm{FI}}$ disappears for high doping rate $(xg~0.14).$ These results are discussed on the basis of the recently proposed orbital ordering models. |
