Popis: | Specialist post–registration modules/education are a commodity valued by all registered nurses. Opportunities for specialist modules in stoma care have not traditionally been widely available and accessible to stoma care nurses. This reflective account discusses the benefits and challenges of setting up a new educational and practical module for stoma care nurses. A collaborative approach between an established UK ostomy manufacturing company and a university-based school of nursing based in the East Midlands was used to develop the module. It has now run successfully for 5 cohorts, with a 100% attendance rate and 100% completion by students. |
