Popis: | An airspace nowadays is becoming more and more crowded with flying objects such as light airplanes, helicopters and unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) of various type and size. The latter ones, apart from providing access to modern technologies, can also become a serious threat as they can be used in smuggling, industrial espionage, theft and terrorism. Defense against an attack performed by an UAV is difficult because its fast speed, maneuverability and small size. Air defense systems with anti-drone capabilities are equipped with a variety of sensors providing efficient detection of UAVs. The paper presents a concept of drone detection by means of different thermal imaging systems. Research and test results have been presented and infrared sensor development directions have been outlined. |
