This paper proposes the design and development of a mobile application aimed at preserving and rescuing the Omagua language, one of the 44 native languages of the Peruvian Amazon that is facing extinction problems due to the few speakers it has. This work was conducted in the town of San Joaquin de Omaguas, located 64 km from the city of Iquitos. The validation tests about the usefulness and usability of the application were conducted through a control group, which applied the traditional teaching methodology, and an experimental group, who made use of the mobile application. The results of this work allowed us to contrast that the mobile application does have the utility of serving as a learning tool, allowing to rescue and preserve the Omagua language. |
