Popis:	Improved tractive efficiency was achieved by use of a dynamic ballasting system to control wheel slip on a two-wheel-drive tractor. Weight was shifted from the front axle to the rear axle, and vice versa, by computer-controlled transfer of water between front-mounted and rear-mounted water tanks. The wheel slip variation about a selected value was significantly less with dynamic ballasting than with static ballasting.
