Blind Equalization of Carrier in Carrier Signals by Using Adaptive Filters

Popis: This paper describes the problem of separation of signal components from a Carrier in Carrier composite satellite signal. The paper demonstrates a usable method for separating individual components from the composite signal Carrier in Carrier without knowledge of the transmitted information by a satellite link in the uplink and downlink direction. This task is typical during satellite link monitoring and subsequent analytical analysis of the internal structure of the signal and the transmitted information. The proposed solution consists in the using of blind equalization methods and adaptive equalization and it is conditioned by the different energy levels of the individual signal components in the composite Carrier in Carrier signal. The transmitted information by a stronger component is estimated using the Constant Modulus Algorithm method, and this estimation is used to setup the Finite Impulse Response filter by Least Mean Squares method.
