ChemInform Abstract: Synthesis of the Metabolites of Clentiazem

Popis:	The metabolites of clentiazem in the urine or bile of rats and dogs were investigated. Fifteen basic, 6 acidic, 2 neutral and 4 conjugated metabolites were isolated. In the present paper, fourteen reference compounds as shown in Charts 1, 2 and 3 were synthesized to identify the structures of the metabolites in procedures fundamentally similar to those employed in the synthesis of the corresponding metabolites of diltiazem.
