Popis: This commissioned review article offers a brief assessment of the photorealist paintings of Spanish artist, Lopez Garcia through the critical approach of East Carolina University Professor of Languages and Literatures, Benjamin Fraser. Drawing attention to the ways in which Fraser animates an urbanism for Spain through the picturing of Lopez Garcia, the article singles out Fraser's catalytic approach to painting as a noteworthy combination to, urbanism, yes, but also to the way in which the analyst can make meaning in the picture space alongside the artist. Fraser presents a particular panoramic and forensic assessment of the Spanish urbanscape, an assessment that, according to the critical review, rivals that of the artist.
