Popis: | A novel, complete analytical model is derived for the static behavior of a monotonic-switching differential charge-scaling ADC in terms of capacitor variations. Expressions derived for the transition voltages significantly reduce the cost of ADC transfer curve simulation. Capacitor variations create no offset error. Full expressions are derived and linearized for the integral and differential nonlinearity errors. These expressions enable the calculation of the worst-case values in consideration of statistical process variations. The worst-case values provide suitable objective functions to consider in capacitor placement optimization. |
