A comprehensive overview of the pediatric urinary tract as it appears on MR imaging is provided in this chapter. Fundamental MR imaging protocols for dedicated imaging of the pediatric urinary tract are reviewed, followed by a brief summary of the pertinent embryology and normal anatomy. The MR imaging appearances of a spectrum of pediatric urinary tract disorders are presented, including anatomic variants as well as congenital, infectious, neoplastic, and traumatic disorders. Pertinent epidemiology and management of these conditions are also reviewed. |
