| Popis: | The Archibald method for the determination of plasma citrulline has been modified to eliminate the dialysis step in order to separate citrulline from plasma proteins. Instead these are precipitated with picric acid and the picrate ion removed by passage through an anion exchange column. By adding phenylhydrazine to the reaction mixture, a color complex is formed which obeys Beer's law throughout the range of concentration studied. Recovery of added citrulline amounted to about 90-110 per cent. |
