Popis: Like outdoor space, maps are a fundamental component for navigation in indoor space. However, the information in an indoor map is very different from an outdoor map due to the different properties of indoor space, the higher intrinsic complexity of indoor spaces due to multiple floors, its connections via lifts and stairs, and so on. In order to correctly represent indoor spatial information, a common data model and encoding schema based on GML, called IndoorGML, has been published by the Open Geospatial Consortium. This chapter will explain the basic concepts of IndoorGML and discuss implementation issues with use-cases.
