Popis: The Covid-19 pandemic has brought countless consequences to the life of the Brazilian population, however, in relation to hunger, it only aggravated a situation that already existed in the Brazilian scenario. With the intensification of poverty, the number of citizens in food insecurity has increased, making Brazil return to the Map of Hunger, which caused a setback in the fight against hunger. It is known that access to food is a right of every citizen, however, every day more, Brazilians have their rights violated and their dignity wounded. Thus, this paper seeks to present the situation of hunger in the country in times of pandemic, a setback in the policy to combat hunger in Brazil, first presenting food as a right, the dismantling of national food security policies, and then discussing the famine and worsening food and nutritional insecurity in times of pandemic. The methodology used in the construction of this article was based on the use of deductive and qualitative methods.
