Popis:	The purpose of this chapter is to examine how learning can be affected when one’spersonal values are undermined, threatened or berated. A consideration of theprocess of transfer of learning is central to the discussion. The general issue to beexplored is how students with a coherent set of beliefs and values derived fromtheir membership of a ‘faith community’ cope with a social work course when thevalues they hold dear are publicly rejected by staff and peers.
