On the mineralogical composition of some clays from the Rhaetic and Liassic beds of NW. Scania, Sweden After a short presentation of the sequence of strata of the Rhaetic of the Margreteberg field, N of Hoganas, the author gives a brief orientation as to the to-day's view of the system of clay minerals. According to Ross and Hendricks (25) the author calculates the quartz-free composition of the pre-Rhaetic clays to correspond with typical beidcllites. These results are also in good agreement with other results of identification, obtained by thermal analysis, dehydration analysis and X-ray examinations. |
