Popis: | A very rare case of liver abscess with fistulous communication with gallbladder is reported. A 75-year-old man was admitted to the hospital because of intestinal obstruction. Upon operation, abdominal abscess, measuring 6cm in diameter, due to ileal necrosis 3cm in length, was encountered. Postoperatively, he had a moderate fever and elevated white blood cell count. Computed tomography, 1 month after the operation, revealed liver abscess 8cm in diameter, which was percutaneously drained under ultrasound. A fistulous communication with gallbladder was visualized by fistulography from a drainage tube and cholecystectomy was performed. Pathogenesis of the liver abscess was undetermined. |
