Popis: | In this paper, farming fertilizer was used as the corrosive media to study the surface morphology, components, and chemistry of Ni coatings after electrochemical corrosion. After electrochemical corrosion, some fertilizer was adsorbed on the surface of Ni coatings, resulting in a layer of flocculent corrosion products on the surface. The electrochemical micro-corrosion characteristics showed that corrosion induced by fertilizer was more likely to occur at a faster rate for Ni coatings at a higher fertilizer dosage than in 3.5 wt.% NaCl solution. The quantitative x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy peak areas of O and Ni atoms showed that the contents of NiO, NiS, and Ni(OH)2 were the main corrosion products, and their contents increased with the fertilizer concentration. The detailed surface analysis of Ni coatings after fertilizer corrosion provides a method for corrosion investigation and offers a reference for the development of high corrosion-resistance coatings for agricultural machinery. |
