Cyclopolymerization of 2,4-toluylene diisocyanate in presence of phosphoric acid amides

Popis: The cyclopolymerization of 2,4-toluylene diisocyanate (TDI) in presence of phosphoric acid amides has been studied. It was shown that amidophosphites can catalyse both cyclic polymerization and trimerization of this diisocyanate. By varying the reaction conditions the direction of cyclopolymerization can be changed to either dimerization or to formation of polyisocyanates, cyntaining isocyanurate or urethidine dione units.
